10 Dec CCCG Miracle Toy Drive
Season’s Greetings to all of you! On behalf of the entire Board of Directors and Committee Chairs of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Guam, I extend our heartfelt appreciation to each one of you for your generosity and kindess in supporting CCCG’s Miracle Toy Drive this year. Within the first week after the call for your assistance was made, we were able to quickly meet the initial goal of receiving 800 toys or the equivalent cash value. As of today, we have exceeded the initial goal by nearly 200 toys, totaling over 1,000 toys/gifts worth over $20,000.00 to be given to needy children at Christmas. Our mission for the Miracle Drive has been “Let’s not leave any child without toys this Christmas.”
In my capacity as President of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Guam, it is my great honor and pleasure to extend an invitation to you for the presentation of toys to the Salvation Army at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at their Community Hall located in Tiyan. Please come and join us for the happy occasion. The photograph on the left shows the presentation of “The Top Volunteer of the Year 2009 Award” given by the Salvation Army to the CCCG earlier this spring for our previous Miracle Toy Drive that took place last Christmas, 2009. We are all humbled by such a wonderful public recognition.
