Laura Dacanay Retirement Appreciation Dinner with Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Guam

Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Guam President Benson Au-Yeung graciously hosted a dinner in honor of Ms. Laura Dacanay’s retirement, First Hawaiian Bank Senior Vice President, Guam & CNMI Region Manager, at Samurai Restaurant in Tumon Bay on May 27th 2016.

Kamalen Karidat Monthly Feeding

CCCG President Benson Au-Yeung and family, Ms. Jean from Chinese Ladies Association of Guam and Panda Crew joined to serve food for the homeless at the Kamalen Karidat. CCCG has been enduring with this great cause to give to our island community through feeding the hungry and homeless. On behalf of CCCG Board of Directors, Committee Chairs and Kamalen Karidat Committee, we extend our sincere appreciation to the volunteers to participate in this worthy cause to help the less fortunate people in our island.

Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Guam President Benson Au-Yeung, Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Guam Vice President Mark Zhao, Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Guam Executive Administrator Brian Lee, Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Guam Legal Advisor/Board of Director Frederick Horecky are some of the CCCG’s attendees.

CCCG’s Kamalen Karidat Feeding for the Hungry and Homeless

Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Guam and Chinese Ladies Association of Guam joined together to served food for the homeless at Kamalen Karidat. Both President of the organizations were also present that night to helped prepared the food. There were 50 adults and 12 kids attended that night and everybody enjoyed the food and atmosphere. CCCG has been continuing with this great cause to contribute to our island community through feeding the hungry and homeless. On behalf of CCCG Board of Directors, Committee Chairs and the CCCG Kamalen Karidat Committee, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to all of the volunteers who participate in this worthy cause to help the less fortunate people in our island community.

2016 New Year Gala

February 13th 2016-The Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Guam annual Chinese New Year Gala with more than 300 guests attending held at the Ballroom of the Hyatt Regency Guam the heart of Tumon Bay. President Benson Au-Yeung’s family members, many island dignitaries including members of the consular corps, corporate leaders, and CCCG members attended the successful event.

With all respect to all our dignitaries, members and friends, the CCCG Board of Directors and Committee Chairs had arrived earlier to welcome every one of them. Live music was swirling and the party was about to get started with guests keeps pouring in. Members and friends started mingling and taking group pictures, camera crew were busy videotaping all the best moments and had no desire to let go of any; the tsunami and raffle girls were determined to be the best sales of the night and non-stop working on generous guests; plenty of delicious food and all kinds of beverage to satisfy the appetite of our guests. The raffle draw, same as last year, was again the highlight of the event, which made our guests enjoy a superb evening. The party ended with great fun and satisfaction.

 

The 2016 Chinese New Year Gala was another successful event by the CCCG! The party is over but there is always a new chapter ahead waiting for the organization to catch up. CCCG is always ready to take on more challenges with highest enthusiasm when it comes to providing good services to our valued members.

2016 Super Bowl Mixer/ Fundraiser

February 08, 2016-Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Guam held its annual Super Bowl Mixer/Fundraiser at Samurai Restaurant. Sports Chairman Alex Au-Yeung and Committee member Khay Sung led the event. With over 170 guests from CCCG Board of Directors, CCCG members and Matson employees attended the event.  Members and friends started mingling and taking group pictures. Plenty of delicious food and all kinds of beverage to satisfy the appetite of our guests provided by Samurai. The raffle prizes was again the highlight of the event, which made our guests, enjoy a wonderful day.

2015 Kamalen Karidat Feeding the Homeless/Christmas Party

At Christmas, 2015, the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Guam launched another charitable endeavor to assist our island community in a very momentous way. Successfully utilizing the donations generated by the simultaneous fund drives of the CCCG, along with Guam Autospot in Hagatna by hosting a Christmas Party for the hungry and homeless during the holiday honoring Our Lady of Kamalen on Wednesday, December 30, 2015. CCCG President Benson Au-Yeung spearheads this worthy cause.

Some CCCG members, including Directors and Committee Chairs volunteered to prepare and provide delicious food, dessert, beverages, Christmas presents, and goodie bags to more than 50 guests at Kamalen Karidat at our inaugural event.  CCCG has been continuing with this great cause to contribute to our island community through feeding.

2015 Simultaneous Fund ‘Toy N Joy’ Drive

The Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Guam continues to provide humanitarian support to the needy children of Guam through the Miracle Toy Drive in association with the Salvation Army of Guam.

The Miracle Toy Drive is organized under the direction of President Benson Au-Yeung by the able committee chaired by Vice President Jack Chan. CCCG is most thankful to the generous donations and to the volunteers for their tireless support for this worthy humanitarian cause at each year’s end. The photograph shows the pickup and delivery of well-wrapped and packed toys from CCCG to Salvation Army’s Community Hall in Tiyan today, December 18, 2015.

This time of the year, especially at the time of Thanksgiving, we are grateful that the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Guam can continue to make a difference to our island community through unity among our association members, their generosity, and their compassion.
